Service Description

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that treats skin concerns by stimulating collagen production. Also known as collagen induction therapy, this treatment creates micro-punctures in the skin using miniature, sterilized needles. Mostly used on the face but can be used on other areas of the body to treat multiple skin concerns and even be used for hair loss to encourage new growth. Benefits - proven to help to smooth, firm, and tone skin and improve the appearance of scars, acne, dark spots, large pores and wrinkles. As your skin starts to heal you will start to see results in about 2 weeks, but Ideal results are achieved after multiple sessions, so a long-term maintenance plan is advised. Side effects - very little downtime but you will see minor redness and irritation for up to a few days after the procedure. Some may experience a small amount of bleeding during treatment, but this is minimal. Skin will also be sensitive to products, to touch and to sunlight. Safety - treatment not available to people who use certain acne medications, those with active acne, or those with moderate to severe psoriasis or eczema. Also to note this is not suitable immediately after a filler or botox appointment. Please allow at least 2 weeks after before having this treatment to allow the botox / filler to settle. After care - Usual facial aftercare advised, keep hydrated, sleep on a clean pillow case etc. Avoid touching your face immediately after to avoid any bacteria entering into your skin and causing an infection. Avoid direct sunlight for at least a week after and use SPF daily. Avoid any exercise that will cause you to sweat and this includes the use of saunas and steam rooms for 2-3 days after. Avoid wearing makeup for a few days is advised. Avoid using any active serums like Retinol, Vit C etc for around 2 weeks.
